
The CEO of BCG Attorney Search, Harrison Barnes studied public policy analysis at the University of Chicago and then earned his juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. Following graduation, he spent time as a law clerk in Michigan for U.S. District Judge Robert H. Cleland. Subsequently, Harrison Barnes moved to Los Angeles where he held the position of litigation associate for Quinn Emanuel Urquart Oliver & Sullivan, LLP, and Dewey Ballantine, LLP. He also taught at Whittier Law School.
As he sought to further his career, Mr. Barnes found himself frustrated by the inability of recruiting firms to help him find a new position. The experience led him to found his own recruiting firm, Barrister Consulting Group, later renamed BCG Attorney Search. Since then, he has added other entrepreneurial endeavors to his portfolio, including the job board LawCrossing and the applicant tracking system known as Hiring Partner.
Harrison Barnes has also become internationally acclaimed for his publications, including his daily blog posts and two books: Attorney Resume Secrets Revealed and The Perfect Legal Job Search Book. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, writing, exercising, and practicing yoga.
